The series 2 was a facelift of the series 1, and not a full shape change. There were three different engine options for the Jaguar XJ6 Series II: A 2.8-Litre straight six, 3.4-Litre straight six and a 4.2-Litre straight six. This specific car is fitted with the 4.2-Litre straight 6, paired to a Borg Warner 3-speed automatic gearbox. It has had a colour change in its life, it was painted Grosvenor Brown, which is an original Jaguar XJ6 colour.
